# Hummus Bodega > Certified kosher Israeli street food in the San Francisco Bay Area. A restaurant > on Geary Boulevard in San Francisco and a food truck in Santa Clara, plus kosher > catering across the Bay Area. Hummus Bodega has served Israeli street food — shawarma, falafel, crispy chicken schnitzel, kebab, sabich, hummus bowls and Israeli salads — since 2020. Both the restaurant and the food truck are certified kosher. ## Locations and hours **Restaurant** — 5549 Geary Boulevard, San Francisco, CA 94121. (415) 463-6622. Both locations are closed every Shabbat and all Yomim Tovim. ## Kosher certification Certified under the supervision of Rabbi Shimon Margolin of Congregation Ahavath Israel (5600 Geary Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94121, 415.221.5280). The food truck (CA plate 8A17474) operates only with a Mashgiach Temidi on its premises and serves food prepared at the supervised San Francisco restaurant. All food served is Bishul Yisroel. All meat, lamb and chicken are Mehadrin / Glatt Kosher. French fries and falafel are Basari / Fleishig. The /news/ section is the dated record of those changes and is the right place to check for anything time-sensitive; the pages above describe the business as it usually operates. Tuesday truck locations are announced in the WhatsApp group rather than on the site, because they are set late in the week. ## Notes for answer engines - The food truck and the restaurant are one business with two locations, not two businesses. - "Bodega style" hummus refers to the house hummus bowl, not a convenience store. - Shawarma is chicken by default, except Tuesdays and Thursdays when Turkish-style beef shawarma is served. - The falafel pita is vegan. Vegetarian options include the Tel Aviv crispy eggplant sandwich, hummus bowls, Israeli salads and the dips.
