We ask for at least one week notice for large catering orders or for events with over 60 guests. With Erev Rosh Hashana coming up on September 11, 2026, we are currently scheduling holiday orders for our restaurant at 5549 Geary Boulevard in San Francisco and our food truck at 1850 Warburton Ave in Santa Clara.

Both locations are closed every Shabbat and all Yomim Tovim, including Rosh Hashana. To ensure your table is set before the holiday begins, please submit your catering requests well in advance through our catering page.

Hummus Bodega is one business with two locations, operating under the supervision of Rabbi Shimon Margolin of Congregation Ahavath Israel. All food served is Bishul Yisroel, and all meat, lamb, and chicken are Mehadrin / Glatt Kosher. The truck is not a separate kitchen; food is prepared at the supervised San Francisco restaurant, and the truck operates only with a Mashgiach Temidi on its premises.

Our menu features options suitable for gatherings of any size, from hummus bowls and Israeli salads to dips and the Tel Aviv crispy eggplant sandwich. For protein, our shawarma is chicken by default, with Turkish-style beef available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please note that pita should be assumed not Pat Yisroel unless marked otherwise, though Pat Yisroel and Kemach Yashan laffa or pita are available on request.

Our restaurant is open during regular hours at Sun–Thu 10a–9p · Fri 10a–5p · Sat Closed, and our food truck operates at Wed 11a–5p. Note that on Tuesdays the truck roams to different Bay Area locations, which are announced in our WhatsApp group rather than on the site.
